Bear. American Eskimo Dog Finds Forever Home

Adopt Dog Bear - American Eskimo Dog - Oasis Animal Rescue

UPDATE 14 MAY:

Great News! American Eskimo Dog, Bear, has been adopted by a lovely young couple in Durham Region.

The woman herself is well acquainted with his breed and insisted that he was exactly the type of companion she was looking for. Bear left for his new home last Friday where he will be the only pet in the household and will have a busy, active life with lots of “one on one” attention.

Congratulations Bear and best wishes to all from your friends and supporters at Oasis Animal Rescue.

Original Story:

You’ve met Bear before. For the most part of his life he was the cherished pet of a senior couple. Last year, when circumstances changed for Bear, Oasis helped him find a new home and for the past six months he has been very happy as the loyal companion to the senior lady who adopted him.

However, circumstances have unexpectedly changed again as Bear’s new mom has become seriously ill and been admitted to hospital.  Unfortunately she will no longer able to care for Bear and he now – urgently – needs our help to find a forever home.

Bear is stunning!! This seven and a half year old American Eskimo dog is a gorgeous shade of white with a coat that is easily maintained.

Neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all of his vaccinations, Bear is looking for a new home that does not contain children.

Bear is not accustomed to living with other animals and is generally quite shy in their presence.  A quiet, serene household would be best with lots of toys, treats and attention.
