Great, Great News! Halo has found her forever home – In New York State!

Halo’s new owner drove all the way from upper New York State to claim the new addition to her family. She lives in the country, has two horses and two cats and works in the medical field. Lucky Halo. She now has a safe, secure, loving home for life.

Thanks everyone for helping us spread the word far and wide. It works – and Halo has won her prize!

Halo’s Missing An Angel.

Halo, a senior Husky, deserves an angel to care for her in her golden years.

Adopted out by the Humane Society to an Ajax resident five years ago, this little lady was suddenly homeless when her beloved owner died and family members bounced her from one residence to another. She landed on Highway 401 in the Pickering area and was brought to Oasis.

Up-to-date on her vaccinations and spayed, Halo suffers from arthritis which is easily controllable as well as a thyroid condition for which she takes medication twice a day. In fact, a recent small change to her medication by our vet has thankfully produced very positive improvements for Halo.

She loves to go for walks and scrumptious chunky wet food is her favourite. She presently lives in a foster home with two other dogs and several cats.

We are desperately seeking a retirement home for this beautiful Husky – a home full of patience and love for a dog who deserves to spend her golden years in peace and quiet and safety. Considering all she has already gone through, this is one ‘Halo’ who has earned an angel.
