Matty. Chihuahua Has Found Excellent New Home

Matty. Chihuahua dog for adoption at Oasis Animal Rescue

UPDATE January 27:

Matty has been adopted by a young woman and her two children. She works at an Animal Hospital and has been given permission to bring Matty to work with her every day. Yippee!! His new household has several other doggies in residence and a big orange cat called Silas. Silas and Matty have become the best of friends and, in fact, share the same toys.

Congratulations Matty. On behalf of Oasis and all of our supporters – best wishes to you and your new family.

Original Text:

Matty is a tiny little dog. A nine year old Chihuahua, this neutered male is up-to-date on all of his vaccinations and looking for a new home. Although dearly loved by his present owners, a senior citizen and her daughter, their family dynamic has drastically changed in the last few months and they have no choice but to part with their beloved pet.

Matty is quite accustomed to living with cats and thoroughly enjoys the company of Lily, the Miniature Poodle who presently shares his residence.

Typical of the breed, this little guy makes himself heard with sharp, meaningful barks but balances this behavior with a gentle, playful nature that demonstrates how sociable a boy he is. We believe that a quiet, relaxed household would suit Matty best whether with a senior citizen or a retired couple.
