UPDATE Feb 21, 2015:

Finally Rouge has found a wonderful, forever home in Whitby with a couple and their ten year old son. Happily there are other felines in the household so she will have lots of companions to play with.

Candid Comments from Rouge’s Foster Mom

Rouge is an absolute sweetheart. Calm, quiet and relaxed, she adores people and delights in having her belly scratched. Rouge purrs “to beat the band “, loves being brushed and petted and plays incessantly with her sponge ball. Quite vocal when her food dish is empty, this feline thoroughly enjoys wet food as a treat, Temptation nuggets and Catnip ( the fresher the better). A household that could crown her queen with no other pets would be best.

Rouge is four years of age and up-to-date on all vaccinations.

Original Story:

Rouge had an eventful three months in early 2013. Pregnant, with no home of her own, she gravitated to a Durham resident with a soft spot for cats and a willingness to help this little lady.

Six kittens arrived in due course and Rouge and her family were fed and cared for as the little ones grew and flourished.

As luck would have it, homes were found for all but one of the kittens and Rouge herself. Unfortunately, in spite of possessing a gentle and loving nature, Rouge was no fan of one of the other felines in her temporary foster home and life became unbearable for all of the pets on the premises.

It was time to find Rouge a forever home and so she was brought to Oasis. An appointment with our vet has confirmed that this expressive feline is healthy, bereft of fleas and ready to be permanently adopted.
