Rusty. Great Dog Seeking New Family – NOW ADOPTED

Rusty. A dog for adoption at Oasis Animal Rescue

UPDATE 8 September:

Congratulations to Rusty. He has found a permanent home and has left today to join his new family (of dog lovers and pet rescue supporters). What luck! Of course he’ll never be able to replace a beloved pet dog, recently lost due to illness, but he will no doubt find his own special way to win the hearts of every member of his new family.

Best wishes in your new home Rusty. Congratulations from all of us at Oasis.

Original text:

Rusty is a delight in every way. Full of energy, eager to play and thrilled to interact with other dogs or children, this 2-1/2 year old German Shepherd/Rottweiler cross would be a welcome addition to any family mix.

Rusty’s present owner has had him since he was a puppy and is quite upset that they must now part company. A domestic upheaval and work pressures have altered her lifestyle considerably and she no longer has the time necessary to spend with this sociable boy.

Neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations, Rusty is oblivious to what a big puppy he truly is and requires lots of room to move around in.  We can highly recommend this dog to any family configuration but would caution that, because of his size, toddlers might be overwhelmed in his efforts to mingle.
