Heather. Her Kittens Adopted, She Finds A Home Too

Heather. A cat for adoption.

UPDATE 16 April:

Heather has had a rough time over the past six months or more. She arrived mysteriously at Oasis in a box – with her six kittens and all of them in bad condition. Fortunately, in foster care the kittens and Heather grew strong. Despite the temporary set back of some infections common to rescue kittens, all of Heather’s babies were eventually given a clean bill of health and adopted.

It’s taken awhile, but we’re pleased to announce today that Heather has been offered a forever home – of course she was happy (very happy) to accept.

As well as having now adopted Heather, her new family also recently adopted a kitten through Oasis Animal Rescue (you might remember Topanga – one of Daisy Jane’s kittens). Now that they’re living and playing with the family’s first cat, Heather and Topanga make up a trio of felines for this family of animal rescue supporters.

Congratulations Heather and best wishes to all.

Original Story:

Heather was discovered with her six kittens in a Pampers box on the front doorstep of the Oasis office.

All seven were covered in fleas and in pretty bad shape. As the months passed they battled eye infections and upper respiratory problems but eventually grew strong and healthy.

The six kittens, Sparrow, Dio, Rascal, Finn, Penny and Bruce have all been adopted.

Heather, at a year of age, is still looking for her forever home. She is very friendly and cuddly but is not particularly comfortable with other cats.
